Greene's Outrage

Greene slammed the idea online, saying she was "shocked" that former Republican colleagues would support a pardon. She highlighted that Epstein survivors oppose clemency for Maxwell and called her a serial liar and a principal abuser alongside Jeffrey Epstein, according to her post.

Lawmakers Push Back

Not all committee members share the notion. Chairman James Comer said he is not open to a pardon and asked others to use his full statement. Rep. Robert Garcia warned a pardon would be "a huge step backwards," disrespect survivors and amount to part of a cover-up, he told reporters.
